Aida Borom

Owner/Instructor

I was born and raised in Buenos Aires, Argentina, where I also raised my three children.

Thirty years ago, I began teaching French to graduate students at the University of São Paulo while living in Brazil, until in 1991 we made Tucson, AZ our home, where I still reside. I taught Spanish at Pima Community College: Oasis, as well as private lessons until 2002 when I opened Language World.

Though I have four dogs that are difficult to get away from, when I’m not teaching, I love to travel and have been fortunate enough to explore Argentina, the Pacific Northwest, Mexico, Kenya, Tanzania, Japan, remote Pacific islands, and countless parts of Europe.

I really enjoy teaching my native language to adults who are eager to learn.
